RICHARD ZALAI

Richard Zalai, a special composer and performer who creates in isolation and regularly evokes the various recurring motifs of water: after his past as a band, he has come to create his own world with an electric piano, analog synthesizers and drum machines. with his compositions composed of ambient elements. Since its launch in 2020, it has released two EPs, Travel The Unknown and Deeper in the Sea. Both of his songs were born in a similar life situation: with the birth of his first daughter, he presents the process of becoming a father with his specific musical symbolism, which took its final form during a live session recorded on the Danube. The foundations of the second material were formed in parallel with the arrival of his little son, and then debuted and was recorded as part of a special live performance, this time on a waterfront. Richard Zalai is an increasingly frequent guest on international stages as well as a recurring member of the Hungarian Piano Day concert series.
