Peet Project

With influences ranging from Brian Culbertson, Candy Dulfer and George Duke through Earth, Wind and Fire to Justin Timberlake, the Peet Project’s original music is a seductive, high-energy blend of jazz, funk and pop, spiced up with violin and a dash of vocals. The group’s driving force is violinist / composer / producer Peter “Peet” Ferencz who gives the band its unique sound through his use of violin as a lead instrument in an equivalent role to saxophone or keyboards.

The band’s career kicked off in 2009 when they won the grand prize of Budapest-based Jazzy Radio’s song contest. Since then, they released five studio albums, achieved Billboard chart success and became returning performers at major US jazz festivals, while enjoying airplay on jazz radio on both sides of the Atlantic with hits like Jazz and Wine, Does the Music Turn You On and Rosy Cheeks
